Book Week 2025 – Book an Adventure

book week 2025 promo image

Our school is excited to celebrate Book Week 2025, with this year’s theme encouraging students to "Book an Adventure."

Stanmore Public School will be celebrating Book Week and Education Week in Term 3, Week 3 (Monday 4 – Friday 8 August 2025).

Throughout the week, we’ll be running our annual Book Drive, and on Thursday 7 August, families are invited to join us for our much-loved special events:

  • Book Parade
  • Grandparents’ Morning Tea

It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate learning, literacy and community and we hope to see you there.

Book Drive

Help grow our library – one book at a time

Each year during Book Week, our school library teacher Jan Metzner runs a Book Drive to raise funds for new books and to replace well-loved titles that are showing their age. The most popular books always wear out the fastest - and your support helps us keep them on the shelves for every student to enjoy.

Follow this link to make your donation and be part of this year’s Book Drive.

Thanks to Inner West Libraries, students from Kindergarten to Year 6 have the chance to unleash their creativity and imagination by entering a drawing and writing competition.
