Smoked Chilli Toasted Pepitas

Course: Snacks / Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pepitas
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon ground chilli
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Equipment:

  • Mortar and pestle
  • Metric measuring spoons
  • Tea towel
  • Mixing spoon
  • Baking dish lined with baking paper
  • Oven mitts, cooling rack

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to the frying pan and stir to coat.
  2. Now turn on the heat to medium and cook stirring constantly for 8-10 minutes or until the pepitas are toasted.
  3. Transfer to a bowl to cool.

Notes

Delicious as they are or serve sprinkled over pumpkin soup.
