On 31st July 2025, Australians across the country will be rolling up their sleeves to break a nationwide record for the most blood donations in a single day by one team. And you can be part of it!!
The event is part of The Bloody Good Tour, an inspiring, self-funded journey led by Simon “Simmo” Braun, who’s travelling to every Lifeblood Donor Centre in Australia with one bold mission:
To encourage blood and plasma donation and help save 100,000 lives.
Simmo, a father of three, has been on the road travelling around Australia with his kids since August 2024, and has already visited 75 of the 81 Lifeblood Centres - from Tasmania to WA and regional towns like Lismore and Warrnambool - all while donating plasma every two weeks and rallying communities to give blood.
You can follow Simmo’s journey on Instagram at @thebloodygoodtour.
The tour wraps up with a Grand Finale at Sydney Town Hall on 31st July - and you can join in from anywhere in Australia by simply donating blood or plasma that day and joining the team:
💥 How to be a Bloody Good Human
It only takes 2 simple steps to make a difference:
1. Join the Lifeblood team “Bloody Good Humans”
Log into your Lifeblood account or app and join the team under ‘Teams’,
Or call Lifeblood on 13 14 95 and ask to be added to Bloody Good Humans.
2. Book a donation for 31st July
Donate blood, plasma or platelets on that day - and if you can, why not fit in another donation between now and then?
Can’t donate? You can still help!
Spread the word on social media
Encourage family and friends to donate
Organise a group booking or workplace donation drive
Every donation can help save up to three lives, and your contribution will count toward a record-breaking national effort.
Let’s rally together as a school community to support this meaningful cause and show what it means to be Bloody Good Humans.
Let’s turn kindness into action - and make this the biggest, bloodiest record-breaker yet! ♥️
