Why choose our school?

Stanmore Public School is a primary school in Sydney's Inner West suburb of Stanmore. We’re proud to be part of our community, offering affordable, high-quality education in a safe environment.

At Stanmore Public School, we empower our students to reach their full potential through a commitment to academic excellence, personal development, and future readiness. Providing a supportive, inclusive education for every student.

We equip our students with a strong foundation to build lifelong skills for learning, and success.

Our student success

Our school offers a high-quality, well-rounded education. Our exceptional academic results demonstrate our commitment our students’ academic success.

NAPLAN Top 3 achievement

Stanmore Public School's Year 5 2024 NAPLAN results for Numeracy placed our school in the top 3 of schools across the Metropolitan South Operational Directorate.

92% of students in Year 5 achieved either Strong or Exceeding in the assessment and this proportion, when compared with the Statistically Similar School Group (SSSG), placed our school in the top 3 of schools.

It is worth noting that the results for Year 3 students in Numeracy were also strong and well above the SSSG with 87.2% of students achieving Strong or Exceeding.

This achievement comes as a result of a number of years of strong professional learning and programming practices across the school and, of course, through the hard work of our students.

My School

My School provides information that helps parents and the community in understanding the performance of schools over time.

My School contains data on every school in Australia. This includes information on a school’s student profile, its NAPLAN performance and funding. You can also see enrolment numbers and attendance rates.

My School helps parents have informed discussions with teachers and schools, and make informed decisions about their child’s education, but it should not replace visiting schools and speaking to teachers and principals to get an understanding of what each school offers its students. A child’s teacher will have the best insight into educational progress.

The inclusion of data about how schools perform in NAPLAN provides information on only one aspect of school performance and does not measure overall school quality.
