SuperParent Powers program

SuperParent Powers

SuperParent Powers is a free 2-hour interactive training program, created by the UTS Kidman Centre, for parents and caregivers of 10–15 year-old children.

The guide for parenting pre-teens and teens

Psychologists at the Kidman Centre believe that the most powerful thing you can do to protect your child against poor mental health is to build a strong connection.

CONNECTION = PROTECTION

The SuperParent Powers program aims to equip parents and carers with the skills to help your child to feel heard and supported.

You’ll gain the knowledge to guide your child through challenging emotions, identify when they may be grappling with mental hurdles, foster their independence within reasonable boundaries, and most importantly, effectively manage your own emotions.

Research Study

The Kidman Centre is evaluating the SuperParent Powers training for its effectiveness and to improve quality and the users’ learning experience.

Right now, parents and carers can access the program for FREE subject to participating in the research. Your participation would involve completing a short survey before the training and then again after completion and at the follow-up points after 3 and 12 months.
