Cooper (5/6E) created a cushion with a hand sewn portrait of Kermit the Frog and won second prize in the under 14 category. Havana (5/6H) won second prize in the under 14 mixed media Bee Blissful category for her watercolour artwork entitled, ‘Honey.’
Havana reported, “I used watercolours and spent about 2 days blending my colours to get them just right. I can’t wait to touch my ribbon because it feels like glory to be awarded this prize. I suggest that everybody should enter an artwork next year because even if you don’t win a prize, you can still feel happy when your artwork is on display.”
This year was the third year that the students have entered artworks. Cooper also received the second place ribbon last year for quilling.
Both students have worked for many hours on their artworks and we would like to congratulate Cooper and Havana on this outstanding achievement.
