AASCF NSW Championship success

Student achievements

Stanmore student Anya Nadezhkin (3S) and her team take 3rd place at the recent AASCF NSW Championships.

Stanmore Public School student Anya Nadezhkin (3S) and her team, Rouge, from the Sydney All-Star cheerleading club, have achieved an impressive 3rd place at the AASCF (Australian All-Star Cheer Federation) NSW Championships. Competing in the highly competitive Level 1, Youth division for tumbling (extra-small and small groups), the team’s success is even more remarkable considering this is their first year competing together.

Team Rouge will now represent New South Wales at the AASCF Nationals, to be held on the Gold Coast in December. The team has been training rigorously for this opportunity, as they face teams from across the country in what will be their debut national competition.

Despite their newcomer status, the team has bonded quickly and embraced the spirit of cheerleading. They’ve been spending their free time crafting good-luck pegs and friendship bracelets, a cherished cheer tradition at Nationals where participants gift, trade, and share these tokens with others, adding to the excitement and camaraderie of the event.

We wish Anya and her teammates the best of luck as they prepare for Nationals! Go, Rouge!
