It was wonderful to see all students pushing themselves to achieve their personal best.
Please note that the top-placed swimmers do not automatically qualify for the Zone Swimming Carnival. Many races had multiple heats, with final placements determined by the fastest times across all heats, rather than individual heat results. All events were run as timed finals.
In 50m freestyle, the fastest two swimmers in each age group qualify.
In backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, all competitors must meet the qualifying times to compete.
The 14 fastest times across the Balmain zone will be selected to compete in the 100m freestyle, and in the 200m Individual Medley, the fastest 7 swimmers across the zone will be selected to compete.
Parents and carers of students who have qualified will receive further information in the coming weeks.
