Stanmore students join peers from five remote NT communities at a camp to explore new activities, build confidence, and create lasting memories.

This week, the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy (NASCA) organised an incredible week-long camp for 46 students from five remote Northern Territory communities - Papunya, Laramba, Titjikala, Kintore, and Ti Tree. The camp provided these students with the opportunity to explore new activities, build confidence, and make lasting memories.

Blake and Nathan Sherriff were fortunate to join the students for some unforgettable experiences. On Wednesday, they headed to Maroubra Beach for a thrilling surfing session, where everyone had a blast catching waves and learning new skills.

The excitement continued on Thursday when Nathan joined the group at the Canterbury Bulldogs NRL Facility. The students had the chance to sit down for a well-being session, where they discussed mental health and how to take care of themselves.

They also got to watch the Bulldogs players train and even meet them for a signing and photo session. The day wrapped up with a visit to the GWS Giants AFL Facility, where students experienced the world of professional AFL up close.

It was an inspiring and action-packed week that left both Blake and Nathan with memories to treasure.
