THE BATTLE OF THE BOTTLES AND THE COMPETITION OF THE CANS
The Waste Warriors would like to save enough money to buy the school a water refill station from AquaBubbler. We will locate the new station near the basketball court/oval. They are passionate about recycling and started collecting juice bottles (10 cents), that students buy from the school canteen, over a year ago. While they have raised about $400, they need a lot more. So… they came up with the idea of a competition between school stages (ES1, S1, S2 and S3). We’ll double the amount that ES1 brings in because they have less classes. The winners will get to vote for the colour (up to three colours) of the AquaBubbler.
We are asking families to start collecting plastic bottles (PET only) and aluminium cans to bring in on two designated days in Week 5. NO GLASS BOTTLES PLEASE. We are in the process of getting more recycling bins delivered as well as a designated space to store the bins near the top driveway. More information on the collection will be provided in Term 4.
