Beginner band will be open to students in years 2-6 (2025).
- Training band (this is a band for beginners, no experience required) will rehearse on a Wednesday morning before school 8am in the school hall.
The instruments you can choose to play in band are:
Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Baritone Horn, Tuba, Bass Guitar and Drums.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS
At Stanmore PS we offer private music lessons on all concert band instruments.
Lessons run after school hours on school grounds with our specialist tutors Monday-Friday.
Part of being in band is having a private lesson in addition to the weekly band rehearsal.
FEES:
Band: $18+GST per weekly hour session
Private lessons:
30 minute individual lesson $47+GST=$51.70
30 minute paired lesson $32+GST=$35.20 (subject to availability)

INSTRUMENT HIRE
We can organise the smaller instruments hire for you via the school or our sister company Presto Instruments. This would be flutes, clarinets, saxophones and trumpets.
