Zone Cross Country 2026

48 Stanmore students braved the rain and delivered outstanding performances at this year's Zone Cross Country.

Stanmore Public School students showed fantastic determination and school spirit at the Zone Cross Country event held at Bicentennial Park, Glebe, on Wednesday 13 May.

Despite the rainy weather, 48 students proudly represented the school with incredible effort and energy. From the starting pistol to the final finish line, students displayed resilience, encouragement and outstanding sportsmanship.

All students put in a great effort with several achieving excellent results placing in the top 6 and will now progress to the Sydney East Regional Cross Country Championships on Wednesday 10 June.

Congratulations to Maya P, who placed 5th in the 8/9 years race, Linley T, who finished 7th and was named runner-up in the same age group, Darcy D for placing 3rd in the 12/13 years boys race, and Natasha B for finishing 4th in the 12/13 years girls race.

We are incredibly proud of all our runners for the effort, energy and positive attitude they showed throughout the day.
