Three young musicians take the stage

From auditions and rehearsals to the Opera House stage, three Stanmore musicians had an experience to remember.
Three talented Stanmore students took centre stage at the Sydney Opera House on Monday 17 August as part of the Cantabile Music Festival.
Year 6 student Will, on clarinet, and Year 5 students Mariia and Ari, both on trumpet, performed alongside the Sydney Southwest Symphonic Wind Band and a mass school choir.
All three students successfully auditioned for the band and rehearse with the ensemble once a month. Their performance at the Opera House was a wonderful opportunity to share their musical talents with an audience in one of Sydney’s most iconic venues.
The students performed Lawrence of Arabia and Trio as part of the festival program.
We are incredibly proud of Will, Mariia and Ari for their dedication, confidence and commitment to music. What a memorable experience.
