At the Balmain Zone Athletics Carnival last Friday our Stanmore athletes put in an outstanding effort and represented the school with pride.

We had a number of excellent results:

Toby D — 1^st 200m, 3^rd 100m

Nellie B — 1^st 100m, 2^nd 200m, 1^st High Jump, 1^st Long Jump

Levi T — 2^nd High Jump, 3^rd Long Jump

June D — 2^nd Shot Put

Maeve S - 3^rd Long Jump

Eliza R - 3^rd Discus

Felix B - 3^rd High Jump, 3^rd Long Jump

Lucas H - 2^nd Shot Put, 2^nd Discus

All of our students displayed outstanding ability, wonderful behaviour and contagious enthusiasm throughout the day, cheering each other on and showing great sportsmanship.

A particular highlight was Nellie B’s incredible performance across multiple events, which saw her crowned the 11 Years Girls Age Champion.

As a school we finished 4^th overall in points, a result that reflects both the talent and the team spirit of our students.
