A night to remember at Pulse Alive

After months of preparation, Stanmore’s Senior Choir and Dance Company delivered an unforgettable performance at this year's Pulse Alive.
On Wednesday 18 March, our Senior Choir and Dance Company ventured out to Sydney Olympic Park for Pulse Alive. The show itself was held at the Ken Roswell Arena and it was such a privilege for our students to have the opportunity to take part in such a massive event.
After rehearsing the dance choreography and songs for months it was wonderful to be able to perform. The students spent the day in rehearsals making sure they understood the ins and outs of the venue. After a dinner break, and a little rain, the show started at 7.30pm and included a range of singing, dancing, bands, drama and even circus skills. A highlight was watching the precision of the Marching Band.
Our dance students were part of the 'High Hopes' section and were amazed to be performing with live singers. The choir learned a total of 18 songs and performed beautifully. A highlight to the day was all the students and some audience members participating in a Mexican wave! The night ended with the whole 2000 performers dancing in the stands and on stage to 'Nothing's Holding Me Back' and 'Let me Entertain You' - which they certainly did.
Mr Gray and Mrs Thompson were very proud teachers yesterday and Mr Heinecke was thrilled to watch his first Pulse Alive!
