World Greek Language Day

13 Feb 2026

This week at Stanmore Public School, our students proudly celebrated World Greek Language Day during their Modern Greek lessons with Ms Vezos.

We were especially excited to acknowledge a wonderful event organised by the University of Sydney and the Consulate of Greece in Sydney, highlighting the global significance and rich history of the Greek language. The celebration reminded us of the lasting influence of Greek on education, science, philosophy and the arts, and reinforced the importance of keeping this beautiful language alive.

We are truly honoured to be learning Modern Greek at Stanmore Public School and to be part of a worldwide community that values and celebrates the Greek language.
