Senior Band strikes a silver note

Our Senior Band has celebrated a fantastic Silver Medal performance at this year’s ASBOF festival.
The Stanmore Public School Senior Band has added another special achievement to its musical journey, taking home a Silver Medal at the Australian School Band and Orchestra Festival (ASBOF).
The band performed at UNSW Kensington on Sunday 20 September, competing in the Robert McAnally section. The students took to the stage with confidence, performing three pieces and showcasing the hard work, teamwork and dedication that goes into preparing for a festival performance.
For many of our young musicians, performing at an event like ASBOF is a wonderful opportunity to share their music with an audience and experience the excitement of playing alongside school ensembles from across the region.
Their Silver Medal is a fantastic recognition of the students’ commitment and musical growth. Congratulations to all our Senior Band musicians and their teachers on this wonderful achievement!
