Emily brings the house down again

01 May 2026

After winning the Sydney Comedy Festival Kids competition in 2025, Emily M (5/6A) had the crowd laughing all over again last week.

Emily was invited back to perform at the Kids Comedy Festival in Darling Harbour and she didn’t miss a beat.

Taking to the stage with professional comedians Jimmy Rees and Laura Hughes, Emily confidently delivered her award-winning skit to a lively festival audience. It’s an incredible achievement and an unforgettable moment.

Emily is also continuing a proud Stanmore tradition, following in the footsteps of past winner Eloise R. It’s fantastic to see our students achieving success on the big stage and embracing opportunities to share their talents.

For families keen to join the fun, the Sydney Comedy Festival Kids & Family Day is coming up on 16 May at the Factory Theatre; a great chance to be inspired (and have a good laugh!).
