Dental Health Week
01 Aug 2025
Next week is Dental Health Week, a reminder that healthy smiles start early.
Good oral health habits formed in childhood and adolescence can set the foundation for a lifetime of wellbeing.
Poor dental health can impact more than just your child’s smile. Dental decay may cause pain, difficulty eating, disrupted sleep, and trouble concentrating at school. It can also affect confidence and make socialising harder.
Did You Know?
General dental treatment for all children under 18 is free at NSW Public Dental Services. Many children are also eligible for the Commonwealth Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), which is bulk billed in public dental clinics.
To learn more about the CDBS and NSW Public Dental Services, visit the NSW Health website.
