Chinese New Year
27 Feb 2026
We were delighted to come together as a school community to celebrate the Lunar New Year this week with a special whole school assembly.
The event featured our talented Ukulele Ensemble, expertly prepared by Ms Bridget Poon, who performed the beautiful Chinese folk song Tian Mi Mi (Sweet Heart). Our Chinese Dance Ensemble also captivated the audience with Chun Nuan Hua Kai (Spring Blossom Dance).
A highlight of the assembly was the incredible performance by the Rou Gong Men Lion Dance Troupe, who not only performed the most amazing acrobatic Lion Dance but also shared a story about the origins of Chinese New Year. Our student executive team did a wonderful job hosting the assembly, guiding the students through the celebration with enthusiasm.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ms Ben Xin Ji for coordinating this memorable event and to Ms Natalie Lopes for her invaluable support.
As we welcome the Lunar New Year of the Horse, we wish all members of our school community prosperity, happiness, and success in the year ahead. Gong Xi Fa Cai!
