We celebrate a love of reading

485 Stanmore students completed the 2025 Premier’s Reading Challenge, showing the power of reading and building strong foundations for future learning.

Stanmore students have once again shown their love of reading, with an incredible 485 children completing the Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) this year. Certificates have now arrived and will be presented next week.

Reading plays a vital role in the early years, helping children build confidence, strengthen their wellbeing, and develop resilience. At Stanmore, we’re proud to support these skills through rich classroom learning and strong public education programs like the PRC.

Students in K–2 completed the Challenge through books read together during class and library lessons. Students in Years 3–6 took on even more responsibility, independently logging twenty books each.
