Twelve Stanmore students earned their place in elite public school ensembles and performed brilliantly on stage.
Drama students take centre stage at State Festival
Congratulations to our talented Year 5 and Year 6 students who represented Stanmore Public School at the State Drama Festival last week.
These students were selected through a competitive audition process to join the Public School Drama Ensembles, run by the NSW Department of Education’s Arts Unit. Each ensemble brings together 24 outstanding young performers from public schools across Sydney, with a maximum of six students from any one school. We’re proud to share that Stanmore had six students in each ensemble once again this year - an amazing achievement!
After months of rehearsals throughout Terms 2 and 3, the students took to the stage and delivered powerful, creative performances that impressed audiences and showcased the strength of public education in the performing arts.
A huge congratulations to Hunter, Isla, Ben, Indie, Felix and Owen from the Year 6 Ensemble, and Lucille, Jake, Phoenix, Allegra, Seamus and Eliza from the Year 5 Ensemble. You’ve made our school community very proud 👏
