Rugby Union U11’s Grand Final Victory
10 Sep 2024
Over the weekend Stanmore students, Xavier A (4/5B) and Hamish W (5/6H) celebrated victory with their Inner West Rugby Union team.
Their team, the Shammies (Petersham Juniors Rugby Club), clinched victory at the Sydney Junior Rugby Union Cup in the U11’s Grand Final. The match, held at Penrith, saw the Shammies triumph in a thrilling game, securing them the title.
Adding to their success, both Xavier and Hamish were selected to play at the representative level for the Sydney Uni U11’s, marking a significant achievement in their budding rugby careers. The boys’ skill on the field has earned them well-deserved recognition, making them players to watch in future competitions.
We congratulate them both on this outstanding achievement.
