Introducing Inner West Libraries Beanstack, an online and app-based platform that promotes reading for people of all ages.

Inner West libraries are currently holding a Spring into Reading challenge (October 2 – November 30) for children ages 5-12 with prizes up for grabs.

Prizes

  • 5-7 years: $50 Gleebooks Voucher
  • 8-10 years: $50 Gleebooks Voucher
  • 11-12 years: $50 Gleebooks Voucher

To complete the challenge, and to go into a draw to win a prize, children will need to log 10 books, write 2 reviews and complete 2 activities before Thursday, November 30.

Library members can register, log their reading, write reviews, and track their progress when participating in reading challenges on the Beanstack mobile app or at innerwest.beanstack.com.

What is Beanstack?

Beanstack is the online platform to Inner West Council Libraries reading programs.

Beanstack is an easy-to-use online platform that will keep track of the books or minutes that you read.

Once you join a reading challenge and log your reading, you can earn virtual badges, and with some reading challenges, you can go into the draw to win prizes!

Readers of all ages can use Beanstack and you can sign up multiple readers for your household under one account.

To sign up to Beanstack you must be a member of Inner West Council Libraries. Sign up here.

 

  • Click on ‘Register an Individual or Family’.
  • Fill in your information and follow the prompts on the screen.
  • Beanstack allows families to be linked together, so all family members can access their account with one login.
  • For convenient on the go access, download the Beanstack Tracker mobile app on the App Store or Google Play. When you open the app search for Inner West Libraries and sign in or register for an account. 

The Benefits of Beanstack for Parents

  • Easy monitoring of children's reading progress and an opportunity to celebrate achievements together.
  • Access to book recommendations, and reading lists based on a child's age, interests and reading level. Ensuring they stay engaged and excited about reading.
